A Structured Monitoring Visit is a monitoring exercise conducted at an accredited beneficiary’s premises. It consists of a visit following a methodology that closely corresponds to the Erasmus Plan/Activity Plan progress report and/or the Erasmus quality standards report, which are also parts in the Accreditation Progress Report.

For this reason, a structured monitoring visit can replace one or both of those reports. Structured Monitoring Visits are defined as a replacement of an accreditation report, as they count towards the minimum accreditation reporting requirements, the same way as any Accreditation Progress Report. The implementation of structured monitoring visits is not mandatory and their number, timing and targeting is decided by the National Agency.
