Welcome

Take note

The illustrations in the Application Forms wiki pages are for consultation purpose only and may not always reflect the latest implementation.

There may be minor changes to the screen appearance and layout which are described on the updated page: How to complete the application form

In this section of the application form you will be asked to provide budget information, necessary in order to calculate the total grant requested. You will also have an overview of the project budget.

The allocated grant depends on details such as the project duration, the country of registration of your organisation, whether you plan to include participants with fewer opportunities in your project and whether you wish to request exceptional costs to cover their participation.

The following types of costs can be requested for a solidarity project:

  • Project costs - a grant for project costs is automatically calculated based on the project duration specified in the Context section of the application form.
  • Coaching costs - can be requested if your group plans to use the support of coaches during you project.
  • Exceptional Costs - can be requested to cover expenses related to participants with fewer opportunities.

Our example below shows how to complete this part of your application form using a Solidarity Projects (ESC30-SOL) form

You might have to use the scroll bar(s) to access all available information in the sections and subsections. Move between sections and subsections by clicking on them in the Content menu or use the arrow button ( ) to move to the next section.
To gain additional space on your screen you can also close the Content menu using the collapse menu icon ( <  ) or work in Full screen mode.
See How to complete the application form for details.

This page is relevant for:

  • European Solidarity Corps Call year 2024, Round 2 onward

Before you start

  • You must have successfully completed the Context section in your application form, indicating the project start date and duration and selecting your National Agency.
  • You must have successfully completed the Participating organisations section, specifying the applicant Organisation ID (OID) and contact persons per organisation.
  • If you are planning to request coverage of Coaching Costs, you must have answered Yes to the question Do you plan to have coaches supporting you in your project? in the About the Coach section of the application form.

Steps

1. Open "About Your Project Budget"

Click on the About Your Project Budget option in the content menu. The About Your Project Budget screen opens.

The screen consists of several sections:

    • Project Costs
    • Coaching costs - if applicable, see below
    • Exceptional Costs - if applicable

2.1. Verify "Project Costs"

In the Project Costs card you will view the Total grant (EUR) allocated to cover the administrative costs related to the implementation of the project. 2.2. Fill in the "Coaching Costs" section (if applicable)

The Coaching Costs card is only visible if, in the About the Coach section of the application form, you answered YES to the question Do you plan to have coaches supporting you in your project?.

The red vertical bar preceding the card and the status badge in the card header indicate the card is incomplete, as the necessary information for the calculation of the coaching grant has to be provided:

  • Type the Number of days for which you require coach support as well as a justification in the dedicated fields. A maximum of 12 days is allowed.
  • The Total Grant (EUR) is calculated automatically and displayed in the card header.
  • The card status turns to complete (indicated in green) when all mandatory information has been filled in.

2.3. Fill in Exceptional Costs (if applicable)

The Exceptional Costs card is only visible if you have answered YES to one or both of the following questions:

  • In the About Your Project section - Do you want to apply for ‘exceptional costs’ to support the participation of people with fewer opportunities from your target group for whom it may be more difficult to participate without extra budget? If you are in doubt, contact your National Agency for advice.
  • In the About Your Group section - Do you want to apply for ‘exceptional costs’ to help members of your group to participate in your project, for whom it may be more difficult to participate without extra budget? If you are in doubt, contact your National Agency for advice.

To request the coverage of exceptional costs:

  • Click on the Add button in the Exceptional Cost card. A new empty line is added.
  • Select the Exceptional cost type from the drop-down list and fill in the remaining fields.
  • The Requested grant (EUR) is calculated automatically and displayed at the bottom of the list and in the card header.

You can select between the following cost types and each cost type can be added more than once:

  • Costs to support the group members with fewer opportunities
  • Costs to support the target group participants with fewer opportunities

Exceptional costs to support the participation of people with fewer opportunities who are a target group of the project cannot be higher than 7000 euros.
