The EU fosters global action on pollinators by supporting the plan of action 2018-2030 for the International Initiative on the conservation and sustainable use of pollinators, including through:
- €9 million project to support the FAO's work in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific on the promotion of ecosystem-based agricultural practices, including the preservation of natural habitats for wild pollinators and the mitigation of risks posed by pesticide. A global seminar on strengthening and enforcing pesticide regulations to protect pollinators will be organised for pesticide regulatory authorities, to build their capacity to develop and enforce pesticide regulations that protect pollinators
- Sharing knowledge and experience on its actions for pollinators with the international community through the Coalition of the Willing on Pollinators, and dedicated events (for example regional EPPA workshop)
