Ireland
Thanks to the Irish Tidy Towns initiative 140 different local communities have made their towns and villages pollinator-friendly over the last three years. As many as 600 Irish towns and villages have participated in the initiative since 2016.
Germany
"Deutschland summt" campaign targeting cities shows how to increase the awareness about pollinators and make urban habitats more suitable for honeybees and wild bees.
Spain
A collaboration between research institutions and city councils, the Urban Butterfly Monitoring Scheme provides the first thorough analysis of urban butterflies in Spain, monitoring 20 selected parks in Madrid and Barcelona in 2018 and 2019.
