Information

Image Added

This area provides:

  • The location of the dataset in the navigation tree (in a breadcrumb).

  • The dataset name.

  • The dataset code.

  • The date of the last update of the dataset.

  • The source of the dataset (not available for every dataset).

  • The  About this dataset button to open the dataset information window (see below).

  • The M Explanatory texts button to display the explanatory notes (not available for every dataset).

  • The  Add to 'My datasets' button to add the dataset to My data basket (see this page).

...

Info

The  Add to 'My datasets' button is displayed only if the dataset has not been previously added. In which case the button  Remove from 'My datasets' is displayed.

Dataset page

The Dataset page is accessible by clicking on  About this dataset. This modal appears:

Image Added

This modal exposes:

  • In the first part:

    • Basic information on the dataset, like the date of its last update

    • Command buttons:

      • Click Image Added to add the dataset to the My data basket

      • Click Image Added to download the data (in TSV or SDMX 2.1 formats)

      • Click MImage Added to access the metadata page describing this dataset

      • Click  Image Addedto share the dataset on websites (such as social networks)

        Note

        Info

Please note that not every dataset has a corresponding metadata page. If the

        M

Image Added button is grayed out, it means there is no metadata page available for this dataset

  • The second part of the modal presents three tabs:

    1. Default tab, which displays for every dimension of the dataset the selected codes along with the following information:

    • Example:
      Image Added

    • The label of the dimension (Demographic indicator in the example)

    • The code of the dimension (INDIC_DE in the example)

    • The amount of positions used in the dataset (5 in the example)

    • The amount of positions available in the codelist corresponding to the dimension (28 in the example)

    • The list of positions effectively used in the dataset (on the right side)

      2. Full dataset (name of the dataset) tab, which displays for every dimension of the dataset the total available codes along with the following information:

    • Example:
      Image Added

    • The label of the dimension (Demographic indicator in the example)

    • The code of the dimension (INDIC_DE in the example)

    • The amount of positions available in the codelist corresponding to the dimension (28 in the example)

    • The list of positions available in the dataset (on the right side)

      3. Custom datasets tab, which contains any saved data view of the dataset.

    • Example:
      Image Added

    • The views saved for the dataset

    • The Create Custom dataset button, which redirects to the “Define your custom dataset“ window

    • The Image Added button to download the data (in TSV or SDMX 2.1 formats), corresponding to the saved view

    • The MImage Added button to access the metadata page describing the dataset, corresponding to the saved view

    Note
Info

In case there is not saved view, only the Create Custom dataset button is displayed in the tab.

Actions

This area contains 2 tabs:

  • Selection. This tab changes the layout, in other words, the presentation of the data. The available options depend on the current view such as table, bar chart, line chart, map, time series. It also allows a specific filtering using the dimensions available in the dataset. For example, to select specific TIME observations or GEO areas.

  • Format. The available options depend on the current view such as table, bar chart, line chart, map, time series.
    Image Added

 Download allows downloading data.

Image Added allows for creation and display of a custom view.

Visualisations

The content and features of this area are extensively described in the Viewing data help pages.

Similar data

Some datasets are related to other datasets. The similar data area lists horizontally those datasets. Clicking on a listed item opens the visualisation page of the dataset:

Info

If the dataset has a parent dataset, this dataset won’t appear in the "Similar data" area. The name of the parent dataset can be obtained in the "View dataset page" feature, accessible through the Information Area.
