Welcome
The Assessment consolidation phase starts once all experts assigned to assess an application or report in Assessment module have submitted their individual assessments and the NA Selection Manager initiates the consolidation process by configuring the consolidation. The NA Selection Manager nominates one of the experts involved in the project assessment as consolidator and the other expert(s) involved in the consolidation are required to give approval to the consolidation. The NA can exclude any expert from the consolidation process. The expert(s) excluded from the consolidation process will not have to approve the consolidated version of the assessment. If the consolidation was initiated by the National Agency, and the other expert(s) involved in the assessment process were selected to participate in the consolidation process, the following main steps have to be completed in Assessment Module by the expert assigned as consolidator and/or the other involved expert(s):
This page explains the second of these steps, the Expert approval. We are using a KA155 Final report assessment as an example.
For an overview of the assessment process, see page Expert Assessment. For general functionality in assessments, please consult the page Assessment Details basic functionalities. For specific assessments, please also consult the dedicated pages:
For a list of all available wiki pages regarding expert assessments, see Assessment module for experts - Index.
Log in to the Single Entry Point and select My Assessments from the Assessment module. The My Assessments screen opens with the Search filter and the Search results panels, displaying your available assignments as per your default filter.
See My Assessments for details on the basic functionalities of this screen.
Expert assignments ready for approval will be in status Consolidation ready for approval.
You can use the available Search filters to filter the results list according to your needs. Using the Assignment Status flag filter Consolidation ready for approval will highlight the row in bright green for project assessment(s) in this status. See Search and filter in My Assessments for details on the available search filters.
Click on the Actions button and select the option Approve consolidation.
The Assessment Details for the selected project assessment will open in a new tab in your browser. By default, the Award criteria section is displayed, opened on the Consolidator tab, displaying the comments and scores as completed by the consolidator upon creation of the consolidated version of the assessment.
The header displays the outcome of the consolidated assessment including the final score, if applicable. When expanded, the criteria and individual scores for the Consolidator assessment can be viewed and compared to your own expert assessment outcome. For specific assessments, please also consult the dedicated pages:
You can access the Project information, Award criteria, Typology questions, or Comments sections by selecting the respective option in the Navigation panel.
You have read access to the consolidated version and you also have access to your Expert tab, in our example Expert 2. Any other tabs displayed, for example Expert 1, are greyed out and cannot be accessed.
If you opened the Assessment details by clicking on the hyperlinked project code or by selecting Open assessment from the Actions button, the Assessment details will open on the Project information tab. If you navigate to the other sections in the assessment, the information displayed will be from your Expert assessment. In this case, access the Consolidator tab in the relevant screens to view the consolidated assessment.
To review the consolidated version of the assessment, use the Navigation to access the relevant sections. No changes can be made as all information is only available in read-only mode. Make sure you always have the Consolidator tab selected, so you view the relevant information.
Use the Navigation to access the Approval section. The Consolidation Approval screen opens.
The Expert subsection displays an orange badge, stating Pending approval, meaning the required action still has to be completed. The subsection for the consolidator displays a green badge, stating APPROVED.
The Assessment details header will at this point show the outcome of your expert assessment and no longer the consolidator information. To review the outcome for the consolidation once more, access for example the Award criteria and select the Consolidator tab. The header will show the consolidation information again.
To approve the consolidated version of the assessment:
A success message displays. The approval process is completed. Approval in the Navigation is marked with a green check.
The expert specific approval information now displays a green badge, stating Approved and the Approval date is filled in. The information text in the Expert approval section now displays By ticking the checkbox below, you have approved the consolidated version.
Depending on the submission option selected by the consolidator and depending on the number of experts involved in the consolidation, you may at this point still be able to withdraw the Approval. If a withdrawal is possible, the approval checkbox will be active. See How to withdraw assessment approval for a consolidation for details.
Back in the list of your assignments, under My Assessments, the expert assignment is now displayed with the status Consolidation approved.
