The field Type of accompanying person becomes available in the mobility activity details for participants flagged as Accompanying person, if applicable for the action type of the project and the activity type selected for the mobility activity. 

Where available, the field is mandatory and you must select the relevant option from the drop-down list. The options to choose from depend on the action type of your project.
