The Europa Web Publishing Platform is the Drupal-based corporate content management system for European Commission websites hosted on Europa.
The platform has been designed to reduce development costs and time by providing the most commonly needed features for Commission websites.
Exceptions can be granted and DG Communication Europa Web Communication (COMM B3) unit will help to identify of the most appropriate corporate tool or service to meet the needs of the requestor.
A version based on Drupal 7 is currently used in production and active maintenance, though with minimal development. A version based on Drupal 8 is under active development and has been in production since 29 April 2019.

The Europa Web Publishing Platform is owned by DG Communication (business owner) and developed by DG Informatics (service provider).
Costs related to the use of the platform
To make use of the Europa Web Publishing Platform and its related services, you must pay an annual service fee per website.
The details of the costs and services associated with each website are laid down in a Memorandum of Understanding between the three parties concerned:

The Europa Web Guide is the official rulebook for the European Commission's web presence, covering editorial, legal, technical, visual and contractual aspects.
