The inter-institutional site (https://european-union.europa.eu) is the official website of the European Union. It is a good starting point if you are looking for information and services provided by the EU but you don't know your way around our sites.

It provides:

  • basic information on how the EU works
  • links to EU information on the websites of EU institutions and agencies
  • EU law
  • documents and publications
  • the latest EU news and events
  • fully multilingual content

Visit europa.eu/european-union/ and consult this guide's section about the EU branded core site.

Maintenance

The European Commission's communication department (DG Communication) manages the EU website on behalf of all EU institutions, under the supervision of the Inter-institutional Online Communication Committee (EU login required).
