When not capitalised or preceded by the programme name, the term accreditation is used below to refer either to the process of accrediting an organisation or to include both the Erasmus Accreditation and the European Solidarity Corps Quality Label.
Erasmus Accreditation is
a process to ensure that the organisations wishing to receive funding under an Action of the Erasmus+ Programme comply with a set of qualitative standards or pre-requisites laid down by the European Commission for that Action.
Depending on the type of Action or on the country where the requesting organisation is located, the Erasmus accreditation is carried out by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency, a National Agency or a SALTO Resource Centre. The Erasmus accreditation process is in place for organisations wishing to participate in higher education projects (including mobility) or in mobility activities in the field of youth.
The Quality Label is a process that certifies that an organisation is able and willing to carry out high quality solidarity activities in compliance with the principles, objectives and quality standards of the European Solidarity Corps. Obtaining a Quality Label is a precondition for participation in Volunteering activities.
