Europa Search is the centralised European Commission search engine. It allows web visitors to find relevant information on any particular subject published on Europa websites, irrespective of its location on Europa.


  • Europa Search is mandatory for core and standardised sites
  • Europa Search is mandatory for harmonised sites as long as:
    • they host public information (no web information systems protected with login)
    • the information is of public interest
    • Europa Search can be integrated into the site
    • in any of the above cases, platform-specific search engines can be authorised
  •  in all cases, third-party tools like Google Search are forbidden
