Purpose

Use the Contact content type to publish contact details about a person or organisation on the European Commission website. This contact information can be set up to appear as a block anywhere it is needed on the European Commission website.

Rules

  • ec.europa.eu/info site: the Contact type must be used to publish contact details about a person or organisation
  • other EC branded websites: implementation and use of the contact content type is recommended if the site hosts a significant volume of relevant content

Guidelines

If you need to create/edit contact information on an European Commission website page, consult the content types guidelines.

Background

The Contact content type is a short, 'helper' content type usually included as a node within standard content types, such as Page, Department or Event. It does not have a full page view.

Use the Contact content type to present contact information such as a phone number, email address or physical address for a department or press officer, for example.

Training

DG Communication organises regular Content management system training sessions.
