An automated notification facility is integrated in the portal. The system automatically notifies all involved parties of a specific event, when a task has been completed or when further steps must be undertaken.

For example, the EU Funding & Tenders Portal notifies you about :

  • The submission receipt (proof of submission of a tender/request to participate).
  • The withdrawal receipt (proof of withdrawal of a tender/request to participate).
  • Approaching of the submission period.
  • The reception of invitation.
  • The evaluation result (award letter) for a specific contract under a FWC.
  • Changes impacting a saved search to a call for tenders.
  • New announcements.
  • New Q&As.
  • Updates of procurement documents or procedures.
  • Deliverables to be submitted or revised.

Inbox

Click on the bell icon on the upper right corner of the screen, under your name. A Notifications window opens and you get an overview of the unread notifications that you received.

The red circle indicates the number of unread notifications that you have and, when clicking on an item in the list, you open a specific notification. Once you have opened a specific notification, it will disappear from the unread notifications list and you will find it back after clicking on Manage notifications:

Click on Manage notifications at the bottom of the list to get into the Notifications section:

The notifications appear grouped under two tabs to ensure easy navigation between the different notifications :

  • Under Generic, you can find all the messages received from the different processes managed in the Portal, such message about awarded contract, invitation to sign a contract, etc.
  • Under Subscriptions, you can find all messages informing you of changes / updates in the pages where you have clicked on the Subscribe  button. You can not manage the subscriptions from this tab, but just retrieve the notifications sent to you by your subscribed items.

The notifications can be also accessed from the left-hand navigation menu. Click on Notifications within the Content centre section under My area.

You also have the possibility to filter the notifications by searching keywords and order the list by date or subject.

Preferences

The Preferences button in the top right corner of the screen allows you to customise the tool by choosing the frequency at which you wish to receive the notifications, depending on the priority and type of recipient (main or in copy). Click on Save to confirm the settings.
